Station Linné on Öland offers a peaceful retreat for nature lovers all year round. Located next to the UNESCO-listed Stora Alvaret and the lush Mittland Forest, this unique accommodation also serves as a research station with a focus on sustainability and biodiversity. Here, you can enjoy a tranquil environment while contributing to Swedish research through your stay.
Right outside the door, you’ll find hiking trails with informational signs about the island and its nature. If you’re hiking the Mörbylångaleden trail, Station Linné is an excellent spot for your first overnight stay or a restful break along the way. The café offers delicious treats, and the shop is filled with beautiful Öland products and literature. From spring to autumn, nature experiences are available for all ages, ranging from orchid walks in May to Humlans Naturspanare in July and open house events in the lab on multiple occasions.
In the spacious garden, which also features a barbecue area, you can enjoy views of the Kalmar Strait and the vibrant colors of our rose garden. Its location on the island makes it a perfect base for exploring Öland.
The accommodation offers 28 rooms, including single, double, and family rooms/suites, all equipped with private bathrooms. The rooms are located on the ground floor, and cleaning is included upon departure. You can choose to bring your own bed linens or add them to your booking. A daily breakfast buffet is served from May to August. A fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your own meals. The facility also includes conference rooms and can accommodate groups year-round. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge!
